Tuggeranong, with a population of almost 100,000, is the southern satellite city of Canberra, the capital of Australia. Located about 20km south of Canberra’s City Centre, the Tuggeranong Valley is bordered to the west by the Brindabella Mountain Ranges, that are sometimes covered in snow in winter. Just to the east of Tuggeranong is the New South Wales border and the towns of Jerrabomberra and Queanbeyan. To the south lies Burra, Michelago and the Monaro Highway that leads to the snow fields and the Australian Alps.
Valley FM 89.5 is managed by a Board of Directors, chaired by Chris Moy. All Board members are volunteers.
Valley FM’s Patron is Ms Annette Ellis, MP (Federal Member for Canberra).
Valley FM 89.5 receives support from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA), the Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF) and the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project (AMRAP), as well as CBOnline.
