Valley FM’s Mission Statement

Aim

•  To be a community-supported broadcasting association, which draws upon community resources to inform, entertain and educate.

Objectives

• To express the distinctive and diverse character of Tuggeranong and its surrounding areas, and in so doing, help listeners learn about themselves, the local community, the nation and the world.
• To support the community through local sports information, local news, community announcements, the arts, community health and environmental issues.
• To expand our outreach to the community and enhance our production efforts through internal educational programs for students, to develop broadcasting and associated skills and to enable our members to reach their full potential.
• To support local talent and broadcast a wide variety of music.
• To achieve our mission with all members of Valley FM working together in a spirit of mutual trust, encouragement and respect, in an equal opportunity environment, free from discrimination and harassment.
